Visiting the Spoke...

In my profession, I have a hub and spoke job.

The operative work is done in the hub, but the patients are found in the
spoke.  The spoke is vital, and it is often also where the health and
demographics are such that they need more care than the hub.

This is never more clear than in East Anglia where the hub is in the
smaller city.

So today I finally got to visit the spoke, and see what it has to
offer.  A classic story of repeated boom and busts over years, which
leaves a city licking its wounds and trying to rise again.

So, what's there?

Well a pretty cathedral.  A spanking new airy hospital.  Nice
colleagues.  I think it might work well.

Plus there are worse train journeys...
