Thoughts on the Vascular Society Annual Scientific Meeting 2018 - Glasgow
Just returned from a busy week...
2 days in Albufeira for a conference, then home for 2 days then Glasgow for 3 days for the Vascular Society Annual Scientific Meeting. Best VS I've been to in years.
Lots of controversy - NICE guidelines on AAA were debated to extinction.
Lots of catching up with the other trainees - including the presentation of the first batch of FRCS Vasc.
Lots of really good talks.
Lots of success for Imperial - Sol Cohen prize winner Vik!
Lots of pictures uploaded to the Flickr account and the Twitter.
But overall the feeling was of a much more settled, mature and involving VS. It felt as is all were valued. The dinner was excellent - lots of fun playing around at the Science Centre!
Plus apparently it was on TV.
For the first time in many years - Roll on next year!
